SOS... for baby sleeping schedule

Remember J used to sleep through sometime back? All these changes after he fell sick and went on a many meals but less volume diet. So that he do not puke out his milk. Then his 2x nite feedings stayed on. And he is back to his early morning hours! 5ish... argh!

Packing up....

Drove to work yesterday... so might as well do my packing up so that I can leave with a lighter baggage(physical) on Wed. 3 more days... just 3 more.

Before I turned in last night, I started to feel sad.... can't bear... flashing through my mind were my great colleagues. No regrets ever being here. It made my eyes wet.

Anyway, I didn't realise I have so much barangs to bring home! God! just 3-4 yrs nia. Now I understand why my ex-colleague who worked here for 13 years had 12 boxes to lug home when he got retrenched.

One by one, I took down the group pictures of our team-building sessions and kept it. In the end, I thought I should just leave it there. Stupid... since no one taking over me. argh! Even used a trolley to move stuff down into car.

Some colleagues were wondering why I packed so fast... haha... practical reasons la.

I told Mich that I feel so she bu de. And she says at least we 曾今拥有。I laughed out loud cos sound as if we r a couple parting. but she's right lah. at least we met and became good friends... almost like sistas.

As we said goodbye yesterday, "see you next week!" she said. my heart murmured last week...

I am sure that I'm gonna leave with a heavy heart on wed.

*loud sigh*

And the bloody ECP... kaoz... really regret using that. super jam.
and KPE... jam also... why everywhere also jam? While tortising there, I was just thinking I won't ever use the extreme right lane of KPE. Anyway, just feel so relieved to reach home.

My friend told me that taking care of baby is like having hangover in the morning. I feel it's so so true... cos each time you wake up, it's due to baby calling/crying.

Slept at 12+am, he woke up at 5am for milk and then awake all the way till 8am. *Faint* I took my morning nap as he napped. :)

10mos Baby

Jayden turned 10mos yesterday!

Here's some relevant findings:

He's not naughty - he's a baby

As your baby starts asserting himself, you may be surprised by some of his behaviour. He may know what "no" means yet still do something forbidden over and over again, all the time looking over his shoulder to see how you'll react. Punishments and anger do little good at this age, although distracting him often works. He can't yet 'behave' as he's too busy experimenting. Try suggesting something he can do, like "give me that, please" or offering a favourite toy. Praising things your baby does that you do like makes it more likely he will do them again. Saving the "no" for genuinely dangerous activities gives it more power - he will know you mean it!

Blooming personality aka Showing his true colours now!
Your baby's personality is probably really emerging now. He may be very social, granting broad smiles to everyone he meets, or a little more reticent, shyly hiding his face when well-meaning strangers try to engage him. He'll repeat sounds, gesture for your attention and may even wave goodbye when he sees you head for the door. He's also developing a mind of his own, which you've probably already noticed when he protests being put in his car seat or pushchair.

Handling your baby's fears
There will be times when your child is scared of things he can't understand or of things that didn't formerly bother him, such as a ringing doorbell or the telephone. When this happens, the most important thing you can do as a parent is comfort and reassure him; tell him that you're there and he's fine.

Talking to your chatterbox
Your baby is just beginning to understand many simple words and phrases, so it's more important than ever to keep talking to him. Give your chatterbox a head start on good speech patterns by repeating his words back to him using adult language. If he asks for a "baubau," for example, gently reinforce the correct pronunciation by asking, "Do you want a drink?" At this stage of the game it's best to try to avoid the tendency to use baby talk -- it's fun, but hearing the right words is better for your baby's development. Though it may sometimes feel silly, having conversations with your baby is a great way to encourage his language skills. When he rattles off a sentence of gibberish, respond with "Oh, really? How interesting." He'll probably smile and keep chattering away. Soon you may notice some words or gestures you actually understand, as well as other forms of communication, such as pointing and grunting. Giving your baby a blow-by-blow description of what you're doing is also a great idea, whether you're dicing onions for dinner or folding the laundry. As you put him in his pushchair, say, "There you go, into your blue pushchair. Now let's buckle you in and get you comfortable. Okay, we're off to the park." You can also sing him nursery rhymes, demonstrate actions that go with words (saying "bye-bye" and waving for instance), and play games such as 'patta-cake patta-cake' or 'this little piggy', so he learns to identify key words and phrases. He'll soon start to make the connections. Before long, he'll be clapping his hands together when you do and may begin to say Mama when he's looking at Mum and Dada when Dad comes into the room (though at this point he's still more likely to use the two names indiscriminately).

New Blog template

Yesh, it's still my blog...
Changing the blog template enabled me to have the "archives", "labels". These were the things I had been wanting to add for a super long time. So the answer was actually to use their new blog template.

Resisting to changing my template all these while, finally made the switch now....

The con is that my "visitor counter" would be gone...

but it doesn't matter to me now.

Had a hard time choosing the new template. pink or non-pink. argh!....

anyway, no more counters so I can change whenever i like. :)

Tues.... sick, books...

Felt sick for the past 2 days. Better take the day off today as I don't wanna repeat the same thing. ie. coming home from work halfway later. Saw the doc in the morning and ate the antibiotics, panadol and cough syrup. Gosh, felt so weak and drowsy... slept for 1+ hrs then woke up for lunch and played with Jayden for awhile then slept until 2+pm. Feels like a super hangover! Sleep, wake up but too weak to really get up then sleep again....

Woke up at 3pm more refreshed...finally! And went out with allan on his work errands.

The Mac at Forum is so atas! haha... clean, bright and cheery! I had my teabreak there... a banana walnut muffin and a latte. Ok, now i declare latte ain't that nice. must order cuppucino next time.

We went to Borders later on and I saw 3 books I wanna buy. Betta jot it down before I forget.
I will await for their 20% discount sales!!! cos I still have 2 books to finish.......

On To-buy List:
1) Mike Gayle -> To do list
2) The art of war
3) A thousand splendid sun

Hoping that Borders sales will come soon!!!!!!! kinokuniya sales will also do. :P

Jayden's update!

Taken couple of weeks back....

I really feel his eyes is like marble (gor-li). super dua liap...
Ok, Mummy customise this jacket for me. My name's on it and that is H-a-n-d-s-o-m-e.
Muahaha... I'm just kidding... it's from Carters.

Taken just now! Daddy putting his swim-cap * mummy fainted! looked like hassan lei!*

He's ver into his pigeon box right now... I can save all my money on toys. cos this boy loves simple things to play... like milk bottle (spin and chase), ruyi oil bottle(spin, chase and bite), boxes of all size and shapes....

My Romantic Date dd 11-April

Ok, it's not that romantic... having dinner with hubby, just the 2 of us!

We went to Outback for dinner. Gosh, lucky we were early, there was a queue later on as we were leaving the restaurant. It seems like a nice family restaurant. I like the ambience. And they gave out balloons!

Taking lotsa pictures make me feel like we were back to the romancing days... :)

Anyway, though it felt kinda bad leaving Jayden at home cos we both know he will look for his mummy when he wants to sleep at night. But still, I told Allan we need some "we" time once a while.

Guess what, we reached home at 8.30pm. He slept from 7.30 till 8.30pm. then we "entertained" this lil boy till 10.15pm! Gosh, like an energiser bunny. crawling everywhere...

Ok, back to the dinner pics.

Jayden's various Nicks...

His nicks consists of:
Hainan-ah-gor
Hainan-di di
Tua-ba (big eyes in hokkien)
Handsome boy
Ah Bi
Earthworm(latest added in by me! cos he always wriggle!)

It started like this....

Granny: Jayden looks like a Hainan-Ah-Gor (meaning a Hainanese man). looks like his wai-gong.
Allan also said that he got the traditional hainan-tao (head). woahaahaha...
There was a period of time I felt J's eyes looked like me, machiam seeing myself in him.

But when he sleeps, it's a different story.

Hainan-di di and tua ba are courtesy of my 1st Brother-in-law.

Handsome boy is Ah Gong, Wai Gong and Wai-po's nick....

Ah Bi.... by daddy for short form of baby. I've got 2! One big, one small!

Earthworm -> by me when he wriggles no end! Hates it when he don't want to sit in car seat and wanna move around. His fav act: (I sit behind driver with Jayden at the back) Stand on my lap, hang on to the driver head rest and either bang the head rest or pull his daddy's hair!

Trip to NTUC

Hi Everyone, this ain't my 1st trip to the supermarket. But it's my first one with Wai-Gong, Wai-po, Yiyi and uncle daron!

I was drowsy and Mommy decided to put me in the pouch. While she was about to do it, I suddenly felt refreshed and here I go for a round of supermarketing!

FOREVER Itchy gums!

Me and Wai-gong!

Here's Mommy bringing me out for my morning stroll!

Updates.....

My last day in HP will be 22-April(a Wednesday). And I will start my new job at Resorts World on 4-May. *heh* very near to my current workplace!

Colleagues were shocked that I'm leaving... And some of them jio-ed me for teabreaks on that very day of knowing the news. I'm still very very buried in my current work. Lotsa things to cover as build is coming! Time is not enough for me!!! And I'm sick today... argh! the damn stuffy nose.

I'm planning a trip nearby which I hope will be relaxing (but I doubt so cos the lil one is gg too!). I wanted to "abandon" him at home to go for short break. but the daddy can't bear to do that. Should be Bintan.... but first, i need to do passport for Jayden! Oops, and I kena complaints that I haven't been uploading his pics for a looooooong time. Pai sei ar, my PC is down and I'm just not that used to getting his pics to my mini-laptop. This is mainly used for surfing! woahahaha....

And I kena complain fm hubby that I surfed net too much and neglect him at night some time back. Oops.. Hence, I cut down the timing spent sitting in front of that damn PC. Anyway, it's down and I need to waaiiiit (my necks is kinda long liao) for my handyman to get it up and running. Wanna develop my tons of J's pics before I leave HP lei!!!! Need to expedite again...

The other day, Fion told me she dreamt of my pregnant again! woahahah..(1st was Michelle sometime back). and I told her I was just talking to Allan that night about this topic. He felt one is enough. Unless i want to take care of a #2. I'm keeping my options open la. Alot of pple tell me single child is lonely which I think is pretty true... Anyway, still got a few years for me to think about it. I'm just curious... how to balance the love for 2 kids ar? Cos now can give all the love to #1. hmm....

Jia lat, once start to write, hard to stop. hehe *reminds me of Pringles advert*

The other day, was having lunch with my colleagues and I kinda hate it when people asked me,"What do you do during wkends or Where do you bring your boy to during wkends".

I would usually reply saying that hubby works on weekends so we don't go out that much.

Erm, come to think about it, for about 1 year and 8 months, my weekends are spent by myself and now with Jayden lah. The comments that I got from them were that I'm a Super Understanding wife and Allan is very fortunate to have me as his wife. *hehe* But I'm wondering if Allan thinks this way too? Anyway, I'm supportive of him in his job as long as he is happy. *hey dear, are u reading this?*

So my highlight of the weekend is usually trip to my parents' place. Catching up with them. Where my parents will play and take care of Jayden while I take a breather to laze around and read the Sunday papers.... I really appreciate my Sis and her bf Daron who makes the trip down to fetch us to my parents' place. *Okies, Jayden will be ur gu-kia and by then should be able to jump on your bed on your wedding day!*

To my friends whom I'm dying to meet up with, I'm busy these 2 weekends, will org a gathering soon!!!

And yesh, Sharon's wedding is coming up next month! Yippee!!!

then June will be Jayden's 1st birthday! and also hubby's too! *and sharon, michelle's too*woahaha... lots of june friends, I've got.

July will be Missy moi's birthday! This year, must "kah-tok" Allan for a birthday dinner or wat. Cos we didn't celebrate mine last year due to his work committement.

Aug comes Agnes's wedding.... *Huiyi's bday too*

Sep comes Sis's bday....

Oct comes Sis's wedding.... *Mum's bday*
.
.
.

My 2nd half of the year is usually filled with birthday celebrations... and this year is lotsa wedding! And all my close friends and sis. *feeling happy for all of them*

Ok, i betta STOP and get back to bed before the lil rascal wakes up *crossing my fingers he officially get up at 7am today.*
