My 26th Birthday Celebrations...

I had a great birthday celebration last Sunday - 23.July with hubby.

For the 1st time, we went to The Line Restaurant @ Shangri-La Hotel for their Champagne Brunch. We were actually pretty apprehensive about buffets after all our previous experiences. But this is the 1st time we are spending on this kind of lavish buffet. But I must admit the food spread and quality was very good. Felt it was worthwhile although the price was rocket-high.

A very wide variety but my favourites were:
1) North Indian food - Chicken tikka, naan etc. They had mozarella naan. Fantastic!
2) Jap food - Salmon sashimi and tako which they sliced only upon request.
3) Cold dish: Their lobster were huge! We asked for baked ones and they were yummy. Allan ate 3 whole lobsters!!!!!!! I only ate 1.5 cos cannot take it liao.

Overall, I felt the money was worth it as the service there was excellent!
And guess who I saw? Former Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tony Tan!!!! I quickly zipped out my camera to capture snaps of him. He was there with his family. p/s: See if u can spot him in my pics... =P

We went to Botanical Gardens after our meal for a stroll and we truly enjoyed it! Haven't been there for a long time and the lush greenery simply recharges you. It will be a nice place to picnic with your family. Hope to do that soon!

Allan has kept his promise for that day... from our meal at Shangri-La till end of the day. He promised me to be a "good boy" for 1 day. =) Whenever I think of what he wrote in the card, I felt really sweet down in my heart. Big smiles again.

My Dog a.k.a XiaoBai

Update.

Had not updated my blog for a while. Been busy with work. Just realised that next week gonna be a busy week. Will be on leave on Mon and having courses on Thurs and Fri. So it will be a short week.

Went to Michelle house just now. Met up with Pauline and Jennifer at Mich's house for a gathering. We had a Principal Secret facial party. haha... putting on mask and having fun! Played abit of mahjong. Ordered in pizza and chatted around. Xie xie Michie for organising!!!

Maybe we(Jenn, Mich & me) will bring our dogs next time for them to socialise. Luckily, they are all males. This will probably scare Pauline out of her wits! haha... she's afraid of dogs! We will train her to be brave. =P

That's all for now... have a great wkend to all!

Birthday card by the Galz

The poem (by Emily Matthews) in my card from the Gals. Find it meaningful and sweet so wanna share....

Friends
make the world
more beautiful....

they share their point of view,
And help us see things in a way
that's wonderful and new.
Friends make the world beautiful
in countless different ways
Making good times better -
and enriching all our days

It may seem we take for granted,
as the busy days go past,
The good and faithful friendships
that we're counting on to last,
But there's a special language
understood by you and me
In which our words of gratitude
are spoken silently.
And though your heart already knows,
sometimes I like to say,
You've made my world more beautiful
I'm glad you came my way.

Have a Wonderful Birthday

Receive a set of neckalce and earrings from them and I like it alot too!
Thanks gals!!!

My Birthday Card from Allan! =P

I have been been waiting anxiously for today, 23-July, where I turn another year older. And today, here it comes! Above is my Birthday Card from Allan. Was waiting anxiously last night for it. Felt really happy after reading his card. I must say he's pretty creative! His card is heart-warming yet humurous at the same time. He promised me something for today. I shall see if he is able to keep that promise. =)

I shall treasure today and enjoy every moment today. Suddenly, I just thought of my mum. Cos 26 years ago, she brought me into this world. I shall give her a buzz to talk to her later.

Will be going for Sunday Brunch later to celebrate. I shall update how's the food later! Crossing my fingers that it will be nice.

Openvlog, it's WORKING!!!

Met up with Huiyi & Sharon yesterday for gathering as well as celebration of my birthday! Heard Huiyi mentioned that she went to my blog and see the video clips of Tiffany. Went in to check just now and I was so HAPPY to see that the Openvlog thing is working perfectly fine now! yeahie! remember a few weeks bad, the website was down. and I couldn't view those videos that I have uploaded on my blog. Was pretty upset then.

I have a few video clips of my dog and Tiffany waiting to be uploaded. But my camera is at Allan's house. hmm... so gotta wait till tomorrow before I can start my massive uploading. hehe... can share with u guys then. :) I am JUST SO RELIEVED

Had an enjoyable night yesterday. Talking about my wedding, our plans for work, house, marraige, etc. Gosh, suddenly we were all very excited about the wedding which is about 9 weeks away. When I was a little girl and watched tv where the actresses were getting married. Their "sisters" and the bride would be so busy and excited. I am starting to have those type of feelings. Feeling abit kan chiong. but I know that my "sisters" would be there to help me. I will most probably be holding a gathering for my "jie-mei"s as the date gets nearer to finalise dress code or rather colours, scripts (for emcees) and lastly, how to tekan Allan. WOA HAHA... But I think I will be telling them not to go too far..nothing too strenuous or silly.. i'm trying to be protective of him...don't wish him to suffer too much, my poor darling. haha...

Tomorrow will be Friday liao. I can't wait to knock off tomorrow so that I can see Allan.

Nitez everyone!

Now now now...

Extremely tired this morning and had bit of headache this morning. Hadn't felt like this in a long while. Last week was a bad week as the insomia bug bit me throughout the week. I need to KILL this bug.

Work was pretty hectic today. Lots of changes and things gotta be done by a tight deadline. But I still left work at 5.30pm sharp to catch my Queenstown bus. Went to my favourite haunt - Espirit outlet at Northpoint for my retail therapy! This is actually a budget outlet so the things there are cheap! Bought a top at 70% off. hehe...

Was trying to call my sister after work to go shopping together. As usual, she didn't pick up my call and I haven't heard from her yet. Suddenly, I realised we almost expect instant response when trying to contacting someone. At most half an hour after missing my call. The speed of communication has becomes almost instanteous. Like now, we have INSTANT messaging (MSN, etc). Aren't you flooded by emails daily too which are screaming for your immediate attention? If one doesn't know how to prioritise, he can lose focus very easily. The pace of life has become so fast that I start to wonder the meaning of procrastination. As PC processor increases, are our brain processors expected to increase as well? These are just some of my thoughts.

I really wonder how does people work when there is no computer in the past. And I wonder how will I react if I am being put into that scenario. Ok, I should just put this tot aside. It always keep popping up in my head whenever I'm amazed by current technology. Move On man! Don't look back at the past. Any meaning in that? Nope. But maybe I will appreciate the current state more.

Really need to practise yoga more often. To keep myself calm and supple. Taking a deep breath now. In and out.

And I hope that everyone will have a great week ahead!

Smilez =)

Weekend.

Nothing much to do this wkend actually. Think I have short-term memory loss. I was trying to recall where did I go last night and it took me 30sec before getting the answer. That's bad, if you asked me. Maybe I need gingko nuts supplement.

I was trying to "pia" my korean show and 3 more discs left!

Had a great wkend althou nothing much on the agenda. basically zuo-bo, brought Xiaobai to ECP for a stroll, brought my invitation card home, paragon shopping.

Oh ya, I'm trying hard to maintain my weight. But a little secret... I have jio jio Allan to go Bedok for supper later. haha... think I will order fish n chips.

Saturday (8th July)

I was astonished to discover that vlog website was no longer there. Went to my blog to see those previous videos that I have uploaded. Tada... VANISHED!!! Quite mad actually and trying desperately to find another vlog thingy. Didn't manage to see one that was suitable. So didn't upload a video tat I took of Xiaobai. :(

We went to East Coast Park for a jog this morn. It has been AGES since we last jogged. Maybe close to 2 months. I really didn't feel like it. I ran like a tortoise. But the adrenalin rush after the jog was great. Exercise is really important to our health and well-being. Allan finally got the chance to play his HEROS V while I watched my korea vcd. Went to my favourite Chicken Chop stall at Serangoon for lunch and back home again to continue our previous activities i.e HEROS V & korea show. Although it sounds boring, but sometimes it just feel so shiok to really "nuo" around.

Went to the Spore river after dinner. My aim was to go to the suspension bridge and take pics with Fullerton Hotel as my background. Never realised that taking pics in the night is pretty tough. It's either the pics are too dark or overly bright. Had lotsa fun. Both of us. Trying to capture whatever scenes that we thought were nice. Kinda like competition at times. Cracking our brains together which function of our camera will make the pic turn out nice. I am trying very hard to be an amateur photographer. HAHA. fat hopes. But it's great fun. Allan was sweating profusely from bending and tip-toeing while trying to capture the desire shots. We simply didn't care about what was going around us. I was pretending we were tourists whatsoever. You know how it's like when you are overseas. You just don't give a damn about the local people and take lotsa & lotsa pics.

Together, felt the couplehood stuff. How life will be when we are married. Some thoughts - We need to have our own space to do our hobbies etc cos that keeps us sane and also to bring in new perspectives or experiences to share with the other. Of course not forgetting to do things together as a couple. Being able to have fun together is extremely important!

Took pics till our camera battery went flat. Charging it now. Will upload those "can make it" pics.

NITEZ n have a great SUNDAY tomorrow!

Bad.

These few days have been a bad patch for me. ARGH!!!! I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. But this is life, isn't it?

Sometimes I think God is testing me. Testing what? I don't know. Tolerance level? I used to think my tolerance level is very high. But I don't think too high a tolerance level is healthy. It just makes you not sure of yourself... meandering along the stream... following the twists and turns of the down stream.

I don't think I should CARE about him. More about them. I don't know how I should feel about them cos they don't share the same perspective as I do. What should I do? I guess by not supporting him but caring about them should be my path forward. Somehow the more things are inter-linked, the more complicated things are.

I am not thinking much cos I'm in a "bo-chap" function.

INDOCHINE (England vs Portugal)

After collecting our wedding cards today, Allan & I decided to walk to Boat Quay since we haven't been there for a looong time. Partly because since we have already parked over at Funan, might as well make full use of the per entry parking. =P Business is not that good over there now. The Coffee Bean was pretty much empty. Recalled that around 9 years ago, we had to wait around before we are able to get a table. I think it's too much identical restaurants. The 2 main types are North Indian food and Seafood.

Walked to the Fullerton Hotel and went in just to have a look. I was fascinated by it! Shall bring my camera next time to take some shots!

Realised there are lotsa of nice place to hang-out near the Asian Civilisation Museum. A whole stretch of Indochine restaurants. We settled for one of them. Nice, big leather couches with ottoman so a pretty good place for big crowd hang-out. I ordered cocktail. The waitress took our order. 3 mins later, she asked,"Excuse me, did you order Sex on the Beach or Safe Sex on the Beach?" I replied,"Safe Sex on the beach." Allan was stunned for a moment by the different drink names. I was just giggling away and replied him,"Of course safe sex lah." But actually cos the "ingredients" like cranberry juice, etc seems more "healthy".

Stayed on till 1st half. It was actually Fun to watch it with so many people. In front of us were UK people so the atmosphere was really different. My star player for that game is #7 Luis FIGO (Captain of Portugal)! Gonna describe my thoughts about watching World Cup next time.

Need to concuss....ZZzzzzzzzzzzz
