Wanna introduce you guys to a new favourite makan place of ours. ASTON! We have tried it at Serangoon Garden and Joo Chiat.

Serangoon garden branch is at a kopitiam. Whereas the Joo Chiat is at a cafe style environment. Both at the same price! So it's up to u which one u wanna go. =)

I like that we have a variety of side dish to choose to go with the main course. There is hot side dish such as baked potato, french fries, onion rings, mash potato....

Cold side dish: Pasta salad, garden greens, potato salad, .... can't rem all lah.

Nothing to do while waiting for our dishes to arrive. Allan's eyes too small so I say re-take! C'mon baby, give me a nice one!

Check-Up at 37th week & 2 days!

Came back from gynae's checkup just now. And guess what? He said baby's head is pretty low now and I should be giving birth within the next 2 weeks!(My EDD is actually 19days away). I was happy to know that baby is engaged liao but feeling super excited n abit kan chiong at the same time. Today's visit was full of emotions. Why?

1) My weight ballooned 2kg within 1 week!!!!
Gynae: What happened? Why suddenly gained 2kg in a week?
Allan: She ate alot of durians these few days.
Gynae: Aiyo... durians can make bb's weight increase alot! Later ur baby 4kg, too big...
Me: Then I better stop my durian feast.
Gynae: No lah, still can eat but don't eat too much.
(I started to panic liao. My bb was always average weight all the while and I happily tot I would not have too hard a time delivering it. It seems that dream was shattered at that instant. PANIC-monia!)

Then, gynae proceed on to scan bb.

Gynae: Ok, baby head is very low. Should be delivering within 1~2 weeks.
Me: How heavy is baby?
Gynae: (starting to measure bb's head and stomach) Baby is around 2.9kg to 3kg now. Average.
I heaved a sign of relief upon hearing this.
Gynae: Your pelvic bone can actually deliver baby up to 5kg.
Me: (Startled!) Huh! No thanks lah. 5kg is very big lei!!! haha...

After Allan and I left the clinic, we started to walk in a direction AWAY from the carpark. Meanwhile, he said he's feeling kan chiong. But I told him I'm the one who should be lagi more kan chiong lor. haha... But we are both equally kan chiong lah cos 1st time parents mah. Then we realised we are both walking in the wrong direction! Too excited until like tat!!! Can u imagine? Then we turn around and head back to the car.

Hmm... anticipating's our little one's arrival and trying to cherish my moments with hubby (or personal time) right now before our bundle of joy arrives! =)

Updates on Outstanding tasks

Updates on my Outstanding tasks:

1) Buy confinement bath herbs - MIL told me she has bought 5packets liao just now. inside should have 2 portions so the 5 packs shld be able to last 10 days.

2) List of "to-inform" friends & relatives when bb has arrived. hoho... not very impt but need to jote down in case i forget. not nice to miss out especially ex-colleagues whom are concerned. =)
- I did my "to-inform" list just now. After writing it down, realised not alot of pple lah. hehe... this is always the case. hehe...

• Pack Hospital Bag (Done!) except for those daily toiletries to pack b4 gg.
  
• Documents to bring to hospital (Done!)
  
• Apply family card to get 5% discount off Mt A maternity package (Done!) Waiting for card to come...

My super girly hospital bag. Finally found one big big spacious bag from MIL. so Happie!Baby's little closet... Haven't even arrived but its closet seems more packed than mummy's!!! lucky one... hehe... Outstanding tasks:

Hubby's tasks is to setup baby cot and put those barangs nicely when he got the time. *hiak hiak* don procrastinate too long hor. *hint*

Finally rem to take a pic of the baby bedding set that I bought from Aussino! They have lotsa pinkish n cream colour ones. I was so happie when I managed to reserve this blue cute one. Little moo-moo and little chick chick.... so cute!

Insomnia....

Have been awake since 3.30am n i can't get back to sleep!!! Wa pianz... trying to sleep then baby keep punching me until cannot take it. went to make some hot milo n blog here. Actually i have already read a booklet on parenting, surf the net, ate biscuits n nuts between 3.30am till now but to no avail. tried gg back to sleept then bb kick here n there... I change my position (turn left, turn right, turn slightly left), he also kicked. maybe he just want mummy to wake up!

But anyway, I'm not tired cos I slept at 9.30pm last nite. I seldom sleep so early but too shag.... I even told hubby let me take a nap, later I wake up, we go eat supper. haha... surprisingly, he also slept around then. but i don't know if he got wake up and go out with his "brother".

I will go do my yoga and go for a walk soon if i still cannot sleep. but it will just mess up my sleep clock. Hopefully, i will doze off after my milo drink.

Had a super yummy lunch as a farewell for the 3 IA students. They are the 2 tall guys at extreme ends behind(Wee Kim with specs and Kim Seah) and Alex beside me. Only 3 pple smile lor! The rest were too full liaoz. haha.... Cos this was the 4th pic and only decent pic taken by the staff there. grr...... we were numb fm smiling.

Mother-in-law's Birthday Celebrations @Lei Garden (Chijmes)

This month is actually a celebrationz month for my in-law's side family. Last Thursday was my PIL's 35th wedding anniversary. Last Sunday was Mother's day. Today is her "english" birthday and next Sunday is her "lunar calendar" birthday. Phew! For Mother's day, we went to Crystal Jade Paragon for dim sum during lunch. Last Thursday (35th wedding anniversary), we went to Lei Garden (Chijmes) for dinner.

Hubby and I were super early so we walked to Raffles City to shop before coming back to Chijmes. I satisfied my donut craving by getting a glazzy J.Co donut!!!! Yummy... R u drooling??? woahaha.....

There is no grace period for you to come out FOC somemore. There was a car behind us when we reached the gantry n saw the charges. Bo pian... =(

Overall, the dinner was delicious and the service was very good... But really eat until very full. burp burp... then baby kept putting his foot or wat near my stomach. kinda blocking it. And I took leave on Friday so I'm practically enjoying my super long weekend lor! smilez!

Memories of my ROM on 26.May.2004

Before my little prince pops out and I get busy with my life as a mummy, I want to do things that I wanted to do in my personal time. Did my ROM collage below. Lotsa sweet sweet memories as I was looking thru the albums..Aww.... I'm a pretty nostalgic person yah? Wondering if it's good or bad. But right now, I feel good lah! My heart is a tank full of loving memories... Looking back, I got rom-ed when I was 24 yrs old. hehe... considered quite young to me. Of course no regrets lah. But I feel that a couple cannot status-quo as ROM for too long. ROM is a stage where it seems like there's just an additional wedding band no doubt you are officially husband and wife in the eyes of the law! It's official marriage! But in terms of family relationship wise, we all know there's still the chinese customary before you are really considered married into the family!

After 2 years of rom-couplehood, we did our Chinese customary in 26.Sep.2006. I think I'm the one driving it to get things started cos I truly want to be really married with hubby! To have our own space n privacy. haha... Some not so pleasant things happened but it made us even more united & stronger as a couple. Anyway, all the unpleasant things are thrown to the far back of my head. What's most important is to look forward and plan our lives together. Life is really short... I want to go through, experience each n every phase of our lives together. Ups and downs...

I was looking through my actual day wedding pics. Gosh! All the pics are like so happy. Hard to choose. hehe... So I haven't actually done the collage yet. Let's see if I got time ok. I need to pack my hospital bag later and re-organise my wardrobe. Aiyo... closet is full again.

June Mummies' Gathering on 8-May

I joined the Singaporemotherhood June mummies forum. So it means our Expected Due date are in June 2008. But 2 have already popped! They are supposed to be early June. So actually one month before ur EDD, u can pop anytime one.

We had dinner buffet at Merchant Court as a gathering before we all start popping. Next gathering will probably be in Aug after we finish our confinement and stuff like tat.

Generally the food is ok but the durian puree is kinda disappointing. I like the bitter type but it was the sweet type. And it's abit too watery for me. =( Nevertheless, I'm going to start buying some durians this weekend. but then hubby is sick these days so wait till he recover ba. If not, he got to see me eat liao lor. woahaha...*just kidding* We take turns to fall sick. It was me, me, then now him. Hope we will be fit fit soon!

Drank some coconut juice tonight. cooling... to quench the heatiness inside.

Group pic!We talked till like 10pm before we all head home. This is my 1st time meeting forum folks and it's quite fun. Imagine the whole table with all pregnant ladies in their last trimester. The one who usher us in made sure we watched all our steps and was very careful with us. haha... cos each of us represent 2 people mah. Although total 8 ladies gathered, it's actually 8x2=16pple gathering. haha...

My little prince, mummy is looking forward to seeing u baby! Daddy will probably bully you when u r out but WE LUV U okay! =)

To My One & Only Big Baby...

Seeing him sleeping so soundly just now
simply makes me feel like caring for him like a little baby

And when I woke up at 2plus am last night, he told me he managed to retrieved those photos of my MIL and BIL Japan photos which I don't know what I did that wiped everything off. I'm totally clueless. I was just exploring the camera functions the other day.
He is my hero man! I praised him right there, gave him a peck and got back to bed. And I could hear "Fly me to the moon" tune that was in my blog as I dozed off to dreamland.

Simple acts of holding my hand while driving these days just bring me back to the dating days... And that smile that appears on his face whenever he can feel our son giving his mummy me a hard kick. I will never forget that...

His words of encouragement(Don't be afraid ok) as I was reading through the Labour portion of the book the night before just added on to the strength of a mummy-to-be. I told him,"I'm not afraid. I'm just looking forward to holding our little one in our arms.) Actually it seems like the fear looms larger few weeks ago. As the day goes by, there is this natural maternal instinct telling me that I can do it and actually looking forward to his arrival which will officially make us a family of 3!

You will always be my big baby, you know that.
no one can take that away from you...

Took this as Allan and I were along Nicholl Highway (or was it ECP) on Friday.... I was amazed I could still capture as our car was zooming past. Don't you think it looked like those pasasr malam ferris wheel? Tell u a little secret, I have never sat in those pasar malam ferris before. scare of heights.... hehe....

Singapore Flyer! Up up and away....

On 1st May, went onboard the Singapore Flyer for the 1st with MIL and 2nd BIL (ahem, courtesy of BIL). hehe... Not much people so no need to queue. It was an impromptu decision so I didn't even bring my camera. Used my handphone camera to capture these shots. The ride is about 30mins. I enjoyed the ride and it wasn't scary at all. Seems high when you look from below.

Compared to Grand Hyatt in Shanghai, this seems low, I feel. Mainly, to see the CBD buildings and the still in-progress Integrated Resort and of course the sea-view! Other than that, nothing too fantastic. keke... I wonder how's the night view thou. I used to think who will go up the Flyer in day-time. Must be crazy lor since it will be hot. but there I did it. Don worry, the aircon is powerful enough to keep you cool!

After the ride, we went to Summer Palace in Ritz Carlton for dim sum. Hehe... also courtesy of BIL. The food was pretty good! Must order the dumpling in sharks' fins soup. alot of sharks' fins inside till we suspect the chef added wrongly. Another must try is the egg tarts! Baked upon order so it's warm, super creamy and nice. not too sweet also. There is a XO-chee cheong fun also delicious. And their fei-cai with mushroon and dried scallops dumpling also must eat. their har gow also nice. Ordered their preserved egg and pork porridge but it was sold out. Can go try it when you got dim sum cravings!
