My Xmas Pics with my gal pals!

This is our annual Xmas celebrations cum Huiqing's Birthday celebrations!
This year, we finally managed to go to the Taka xmas tree which used to be our traditional "must-take" photos for each yr. think we have not done so for the past few years. Now, we are back here! The crowd there was horrible thou!!! But who cares when I have got them with me. We just pose happily and soak in the atmosphere. There are some more pics from Huiqing's camera. Will upload more when it's out. =)

Back from my China trip!

I'm finally back to our sunny little island! Woo.... it was especially cold especially the last 2 days in Shanghai. Touched down at 5am this morning. and trying to get back to norm... check SGX, check email.... adding my tour-mates into msn. keke... and of course to update my little blog.

Overall, my tour mates were good companions. Some of them whom can really be friends, i felt. We had tons of women's talk at the airport while waiting to check-in and board planes. They were all sharing their "mummys'" experiences/advice with me. haha...

Hubby and I were expecting this to be an uncle, aunties tour groupie thing. We were surprised when we saw them at the airport. We were the only couple. The rest are families. With kids from 4yrs old to teenagers. Those little "rascals" are really cute and adorable. They liven up the journey as well. I must say they are well disciplined.

I'm suffering from throat irritation, stuffy nose and runny nose. due to the cold and dry weather over there. Saw Dr Choo this morning liao. so will take my medicine before my nap later. For now, I'm ready to unpack and check out all my letters and what-nots.

Took tons of photos.... need some time to sort them.

Keke... Stay tuned!

Happy New Year to 2008 everyone!

It's the Shutdown!

I was suddenly just pondering how many shutdowns have I encountered.
Ans: 3. I joined HP in 2005. So I have the shutdown during 2005. 2006 and 2007. Time flies yeah?

This is my longest ever job. haha... I was so looking forward to the shutdown. Cos this time round, I will be going on a long holiday with hubby! We are flying off this Sat morning to Shanghai. So I'm doing up my packing list right now. At the back of my mind, still thinking about work thou. keke... But I'm sure once we board the plane, thoughts on work will be blown far far away.

Tomorrow's gonna be my Xmas celebration with my gal friends. We're also celebrating Qing's birthday as well. Then come Friday, there's gynae checkup, and going praying. then gotta do the final packing. Time seems to be running out yah?

Anyway, just want to exclaim a sigh of relief as we slow down for Xmas celebrations and the coming new year 2008! I like the number 2008.... take a rest before we charge again!

Back from Bintan!

I'M BACK! feel so out of touch with everything, except work. haha...thou I'm gonna get crashed by the pile of work. too over-whelming.

Back from my Bintan trip with my gal pals. Thank god the Weather was kind to us.

Although there are big and small incidents that happened on the trip. It's through them that I really feel blessed to have them as my friends. Galz, what can I say?
We took good care of one another and enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.

I puked on the ferry ride to Bintan. felt so terrible. never felt so terrible for such a long time. argh! thank god Huiyi was patting my back and the other two busy passing tissue to me. The pat on the back just made me feel better. They also helped to carry my barangs during the trip so that I would not overstrain myself.

The good weather beckoning at us to go for a dip and some sun-tanning while waiting to check-in.
We are at Pasar Olei Olei! a small town... we tried to drive some bargains here.

Our Seafood dinner at the Kelong. yummy.... calamari, gong-gong, pepper crab, fried prawns with chilli and kangkong. Our conquests at the Polo shop. haha....Will upload all my pics at Facebook. Pop by there to see more.

Tomorrow's the last work day of the year. hohoho.....

So I'm gonna carry all my barangs back. then it's preparation for my China trip!

December... the cold and rainy season!

I woke up due to my hungry pang. Got out of my comfy bed and drag myself to make myself a cup of milk. Feeling awake though so wanna check my mails.

Me and the gals are going to Bintan next Friday! I finally managed to book it man! haha... Looking forward as I need to relax and chill out. We've always wanted to go for a trip together since our secondary school days. So 10 years later, we did it. haha.... better late than never.

Next, Allan and I are planning a trip during my shutdown. 20-Dec till 2-Jan. Very last minute right? As always, it's caused by er-hmm (clear my throat).... the man. So last night, we were talking to my MIL and he said we better manage to book our trip. If not, I will "niao" at him. haha.... But anyway, if really cannot book, then I will plan activities lo.... like picnic at the Botanic Gardens. one of my "dream afternoon". althou with this kind of weather, it's gonna be hard. or read my books. or find something to study. or go play mahjong with friends. or learn a few dishes. bake more cookies?. and my facial. How? too lazy to even go book.

We gonna try to book our trip this evening. hopefully, it can be settled tonight. else, i will have to head down tomorrow to people's park.

Ok, time to roll for a while more before the alarm goes off later.

Foodie! and Kiehl's...

These days, it's food, food and more food! haha... i feel so sinful man. and you can see the output... a rounder face of mine. =P

Let's backtrack from today.

1) Home-cooked nasi lemak. today's chilli isn't very spicy. but still enjoyed it cos everything is home-made. the otah, the ikan bilis and peanuts....

The prawns and fried ikan bilis, peanuts
Goreng kuning ikan and fried egg.Shot of everything... or most of it. missing otak and rice and cucumber. keke...

made by MIL.... otak with fish, sotong and prawn. yummy....

2) Thursday lunch went Tiong Bahru's hawker center for the Koh's Brother pig organ soup

I only took a pic while q-ing up. Cos when I bought it back, i couldn't resist eating it right away. It's delicious. the soup is spicy and clear. and the pig's organs are very clean. no smell.

3) Friday's lunch at Col Bar. at Wessex estate.

It used to be at Portsdown road but shifted. It is the most "RETRO" place in Singapore that I have ever been. Let pictures do the talking man. coupled with a cloudy day, there's a smokey effect of my pics...haha... enhancing the "misty old" effect. The fish and chips that I ordered wasn't that fantastic but their curry chicken rice smells good! Just fyi, this place is open by a Hainanese.

D Place.... does it look I'm back in 70s?

The "Paper" menu
My cup of ice lemon tea

Now, next isn't going about food. it's skincare. tried a new brand called Kiehl's. Needed moisturiser and an anti-ageing eye cream. Jenn, if you are reading this, I'm trying to reduce the fine lines you saw around my eye the other day. keke... haiz... been too lazy to go do my eye ultrasound treatment. Must be more diligent!

There's the blue herbal moisturiser. It's to face acne. good for my pimple-popping face. tot it's just oil-free. didn't know its main job is to combat acne. so far so good. the red small bottle is their anti-aging eye cream (Abyssine cream). This cost more than the moisturiser! Right side is their lip balm. I bought their limited edition pear flavor! It's yummily deliciously and smells great. http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/catalog/product.aspx?CatCode=AXE_Face&TopCat=F1_Lip_Care&prdcode=696

Just went in to their website and saw this:
No Animal Testing
At Kiehl's, we use the finest ingredients known to us in the formulation of our unique preparations. Kiehl's does not test - nor have we ever tested - our products on animals. We offer our customers products of the highest quality which have been tested thoroughly in laboratory environments to ensure maximum safety.

And they uses natural products.

It all adds up to $120 so I get to choose 2 deluxe. I chose "creme with silk groom" - a leave on moisturiser to tame the frizz and "Ultimate strength hand salve" - hand cream.

Used the hair moisturiser once and found that it really made my hair better.

They have got alot of products that I also want to grab. but next time ba.... my budget for this month is going to be busted liao.

You can visit their website >> http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/home/index.aspx

or visit their store to try their products out. do I sound like their ambassador? keke....

Frenzy Updates!

Here's frenzied Carol with her updates. Suddenly, her mood is lifted! Is it because she has cleared her bout of 34 emails just now? Or is it her satisfying spaghetti lunch she cooked and chomped down? Maybe it's due to...

Xiaobai aka her beloved dog has done something 'proud'. He caught a rat! a rata-teeling rat! the situation was so exciting. i missed the exciting part thou. By the time I got down, i saw a squirming victim laying on the floor.

Ok, my dog has been rushing to the storeroom for the past few days. He barked at times. at what? we DON NOE! got rat? or got cockroach? god knows. then came this late afternoon when my eyes were goggy from doing work. I heard lotsa exclaimation at the living room. went down and my MIL and the 2 maids were looking for the rat. apparently there really was a rat in the storeroom. And it has scrambled out bravely to the praying table. MIL saw it. then it ventured to the water feature. Minah kept on trying... MIL and I gave up hope (i didn't do anything thou. just stand and watch. haha) and I suggested we put a rat trap tonight in the living room to lure the pest out. then suddenly Minah strike gold with the cane fumbling the hole. the rat came out and Xiaobai bit it once and let go. but the rat suffered injury liao. Xiaobai, for as long as I know is kinda timid but always put on a strong front. He always bark at cockroaches, etc but never caught them before. So I can imagine even if the rat is in front of it, he would just bark and scare it to death. By the way i went to see, MIL told me it bite the rat, I was surprised. She was full of praise for his bravery! haha... tonight, he will be rewarded with her bak kut teh. MIL cooked this tonight... i tested it and it's yummy! Xiaobai is in luck. to achieve this feat on this day where there's bak kut teh. perfect timing.

Think i'm abit crazy. mood swing? hack! as long as the mood is good, what does it matters?

Some pics taken lately...

Us at Sakae sushi @ Wheelock... the day where we spent an idyllic evening at Orchard. i shall not mention which day. but I truly enjoyed the time spent with hubby. We haven't been to Orchard like this for months!

Another shot at Sakae sushi. don like this shot cos it makes me look plump but hubby looks great lei. better than the previous shot.Tiffany and me. She likes this pinky hairband of mine. It's my one and only hairband. She clamped her hand at PIL's door and was crying. To cheer her up, I make her pretty pretty and she was very happy when she went to see her reflection in the mirror. Asked her if she wanna take pic and she nodded. girls are still girls... do this type of girly thing makes us happy!

Time for my bak kut teh now! but not before hubby reaches home thou.

Ciao!

Lament~Exhausted~Complain

I know it's useless to complain. but sometimes it's just a way of letting off the steam. hehe... let this be the holy place to let me blare whatever I have to say.

This week is d week that really drained me out since I've joined here. I was already contemplating to take leave on Fri since Tuesday. can you imagine? It's been conference calls non-stop these days. Thank god my company does provide a handset for us to use. If not, I think my ears would have gotten numb at the end of the day. My Tues was worst ever for me. Had conf call from 9AM till 530PM. only break was 1230 till 2PM. That was listening/talking for 7 hours! My God!

And something that I must vent out is I don't understand how some people in this world have no sense of urgency, no sense of responsibility and no team-work! Such a B.I.T.C.H. Think they can work with their mouths. All talk and no actions. They should go and be in Marketing. And today I just had an argument with her before knocking off. Gosh! Since she's not doing her job, bo-pian lor. I checked with her team-member(let's call him A) yesterday and did the updates last night so that relevant people can react in soonest time. In manufacturing, time is precious. We are so near to the start of build yet she can take her bloody own sweet time. And she emailed me today on additional updates. I took a look and realised it doesn't seem to be correct. I mean her understanding of A's data. Yesterday I had spoken to A and clarified whatever queries I had before doing the updates. And we argued as she mentioned my thoughts were wrong. I decided to conf A in to find out who's understanding is right. SHE JUST ASSUMED without checking with A. Indeed, my understanding and updates were correct. And upon learning that, she tried to insist her way of presenting the info but that would simply confuse everyone. Managed to shut her off then. glad that at least A and my way of doing things is aligned. But I just don't understand why some people can be so lazy to simply just ASSUME when getting the answer is just a phone-call away. realli feel like slapping her.

I keep telling myself not to get worked up. should cool down... but given my temperament, it's quite difficult to be cool. haha...

And I still have other issues on work on-hand to settled urgently as well. ARGH!
The company is having a celebration next Thurs and I'm asked to be the team's mascot! I feel like rejecting it but my name has been submitted up. I feel too over-whelmed with work and right now, whatever "miscellaneous" thing that comes along, it just kinda piss me off. althou i'm trying hard to tune myself to be positive and sporting which is the usual ME.

i'm going to be a bad bad girl tomorrow... going take leave to rest. but at the back of my mind, i can't keep work off my mind.

cool down gal... ice ice baby...woahaha...

The Wkend where everyone kinda fell sick

The "real" epidemic started on Sunday morning. when parents-in-laws told me they vomitted the whole nite after they came back from a wedding dinner on Sat nite. the whole of Sunday, both of them were very weak. MIL had fever after the puking stopped. FIL had diarrhoea. I could only helped pat her back to make her burp. Then make glucose drink for them. then bring poh zhai pills for them. and so coincidence the maid took the day off. then hubby sms me at 3pm saying he's not feeling well. so i went to fetched him back fm work. he came home and was feeling weak. gave him medicine to reduce his fever and body aches and off he slept.

And i had a dinner appt with my mum and family at AMK. when I came home, hubby was still feverish and not able to get up. gosh! damn worried. gave him medicine and cold towel at night and decided to take the next day morning off to attend to him. cos PILs are also sick. can't bear the thought of my poor baby suffering alone. hehe...

Thank god this morning, he felt better. but he's still having the after-effects of food poisoning. he feels very unwell after eating. i told him 'cannot' eat anything from now till tomorrow lunch. to let his stomach rest.

argh! hope everyone gets well soon.... blessed!

and I tried to take a morning nap today before heading to work. finally managed to lock my room after my niece Tiffany went out. cos I can't sleep with her around... grr... She is very active lei. And 5 minutes later, she couldn't come into my room (as i locked it). then she started boo-ing and went crying to my MIL,"Ma-ma, I want to go Xiao-shen's room." BOO!!! until Allan go and open the door. so poor thing! how? she's like my half-daughter right? sticks to me when i'm at home. She doesn't stick to Allan when he's at home. After she come in, before she went out, she told me,"Xiao-shen, later you don't lock the door ok?" *faint*

Kids say the darnest thing. really! there's just too many examples and it just makes me laugh my heart out... and kinda entertaining especially after a day's work ;)

View from the Penthouse

Went to hubby's sales office(which was the penthouse) on Friday's morning. stayed there for a while. mingled with his friend cum boss Ian and another colleague Venus. You really get to see people from all walks of life. Venus is actually a tai-tai... drives Lexus and carries a LV bag. but she is in this line to mostly serve her husband's client who are looking for properties. forgot to mention her husband is a banker. she got the typical tai-tai look. Chanel sunglasses perched up on her head. immaculate make-up, nails and everything. nice speaking to her.

I was sitting facing the sea and felt damn shiok! So so relaxing. I could sit there and daydream the whole afternoon man.
Some pics to share ~~~~~~~~~

View standing in front of the window. Hubby and I were saying his working environment is really good! get to look at the sea... shiok sia! keke....View taken from the sofa

My SUPER long weekend starts Tonight!

Took leave this Fri... so it's gonna be NO WORK for the next 4 days...yeahie!
aw... taking a break. and yup, I didn't bring my laptop home. cos I want to put work aside. Out of sight, out of mind. get it?

Not going anywhere. but just want to take Fri off since hubby's not working on that day. for the rest of the other 3 days ---> Yes, he's working.

But it's OK. my to-do list...

-> go swimming (getting flabbier these days)

-> go trim my hair which i think needs a treatment too

-> go polish and scale my teeth (maintenance lah. flash the pearlies)

-> read my books? haven finish reading my books and thinking of buying Nicholas Sparks's latest release. argh!

-> Bake a cake? ok, i saw a recipe in the papers today. seemed easy and hubby likes to eat cake. but let's see how. haha. i predict i will be too lazy to do it.

-> Bring Xiaobai for his walks...

-> oh ya... FACIAL! Still got one more session at New York Skin... then can go shopping cos it's in Taka. woahaha....

Shucks, my throat hurts right now. I have asked Allan to go buy fisherman's friend for me since he's outside right now. hope it will help. we are supposed to go bbq this fri. I mustn't get sore throat.

We went to "Western Chow" at Hougang (Lor Ah Soo) there for dinner just now. read it at 8days and we went straight away. I order chicken curry rice (like katsu curry don) and he ordered Black Pepper Chicken Chop. Not bad... but the CC abit pricey for kopitiam ($5.80).

Will take pic next time...

Oh ya, share a pic of Tiffany taken yesterday. she took my specs and say very nice. Then she started putting on and i quickly snap it!

Shoes like Marriage

I came up with this weird analogy while walking to the ladies in office today.

Marriage is like us women buying a pair of shoes. You never know if the shoes will bite until you buy and start wearing it. aka getting married and living together. Of course, for some shoes, the moment you put your precious feet into it, it hurts and you know it's OUT for sure. Same goes for those guys that turns you off the moment you talk to them.

Then there are some who seems nice and everything... The moment you are theirs, they treat you like shit. These are like those pretty little shoes that make you feel like a princess but bite you to death after you buy and start wearing them.(i have never been in this situtation so it's based on my imagination and tv) Looks can be deceiving. And ending . Of course if you convince yourself to buy it when knowing it "kinda" hurts while trying it on, then you are just plain stupid.

But there are those shoes that initally you may feel a little bit tight. But after a few wear, it gets so comfortable that you just wish that it will never ever spoil. It just make me think of hubby. that i'm so used to being around him. *blushing*

All these thoughts originated from my current pair of shoes. the jwest sandals that i bought. it's so comfy right now that i can't bear the thought of it being spoilt.
this sounds like a silly analogy? but just wanna express the underlying meaning... now you go guesss what's that! =P

NO mood to work! Team-building pics!

REally not in the mood to work! I don't know why. sianz..... argh! God, save me!!!

Let me multi-task by uploading some of my team-building pics held on 26-Oct.

Cycling at ECP... I got a headache due to the heat hence, I chilled out at the beach together with Doris instead.

Doris is the one covering her face with the book. beside me is Michelle. Opposite is Tracy and Ivy(cap). Cindy tried to take a shot of ALL of us but her face was cut into half. Yah... next to her is Doris.
Finally we can see Cindy's face more clearly. The rest of us are too engrossed in our "dai-di" game. haha
After cycling, we cooled down and went to Roxy Square II for steamboat at Michelle's MIL place. This is Tracy and Cindy.
Ivy and me! happily scooping away...L to R: Doris, Bay Yong and Hwee SuanThis is my table of 7 gals and we sure can eat!!! Our soup is those "yuan yang" type (2 types). We put in so much food at one time that the soup simply overflow to the other side. haha.... We ate faster and more than the other table with guys! haha....
This is our Group Picture! Beside me are the 2 IA students attached to us. the taller one is Joanne and the one with long hair is Alvina.

Bread-making attempt!

Have been putting off doing this till I told myself not to be lazy! Decided to do it today! Hubby had ordered Luncheon meat bread. He will only be able to eat it after he knocked off later.

Checked with MIL what ingredients was lacking at home to make the bread. Went to buy yeast and bacon yesterday night. We spoke vividly about the types of bread last night. She wanted to make coconut buns. I told her we could make kueh dar-dar with the coconut as well. Felt it was cool man! She will fry the coconut and I can make the kueh's skin. hehe... teamwork!

After kneading the flour, yeast, salt, sugar, egg, milk, water and butter. Must let the dough rise to double its size. So during that one hour or so, I prepare the luncheon meat, egg mayo, etc. As I use luncheon meat or bacon for the bread filling, I decided to do some egg mayo so that Minah can eat cos all are pork. Veri thoughtful yah? =P

After the dough has risen to double its size, I cut out portions of doughs and let it rise for another 10mins.

Finally, time to add the fillings! This one is bacon + egg mayo. This one is purely egg mayo... I did 3 of this for Minah. keke... decided to put a "din xiang" on top of the bread to differentiate this. I didn't put any pic of luncheon meat. After putting in fillings of the 14 breads, gotta let it rise again for 15 mins... Alot of waiting time for bread to rise man! Finally, I could glaze it with egg and put it into the oven. This is my 1st batch of bread... 2nd BIL was very excited when it was done cos he was the one who announced it! I was still eating my lunch then. He went to check my bread for me automatically! Then said,"Kailing, think your bread is ready! It's brown in colour liao." I was so excited too and went to see immediately. not badz... I quickly take a plate and he took one bacon and egg out. He cut open and became my food taster together with MIL. That one, I think I stretched the dough too thin cos I wanna wrap the fillings. Some parts were abit crispy crispy. But still, they commented," Not bad".

FIL came by and I said,"You can have bread for your tea-time later. cos usually he has it at 4pm." He took one luncheon meat bun right away. And finished it and that was right after lunch. Comments:"Nice. Not bad"

Minah ate hers at a later time and told me,"It's nice."

This is my 2nd and final batch of breads.

Although it took me the whole morning till noon to finish the entire bread making process, the joy of seeing family members enjoying it really brought home a sense of satisfaction. I had fun too. Doing everything by myself and seeing that everything turned out well gave me a sense of achievement! =) I'm thinking of putting herbs next time into the bread liaoz. hee... Waiting for hubby to come home and try later...

Recipe for the bread can be found here: http://quickneasytreats.blogspot.com/2005/07/assorted-sweet-bun.html))

One tip: For the water, use 50% milk and 50%water. I used 3/4 of the portion in the recipe and generated 14 buns. So you can proportion it according to the number of buns you want.

Finally it's the weekend

Finally the weekendz is HERE! Gosh... On Thurs, I tot it was Friday. And to wake up feeling that way isn't a good way to begin the day. So I'm getting excited that TGIF and the weekend is right here right now. So I'm gonna cherish every moment of it. How? For example, by blogging instead of going straight to bed? does this counts? to express my frenzied feelings to simply express how happy I am that it's D Weekend. Ok, I'm getting abit cranky here now. haha...

Had a busy busy week at work. The intern attached to me is here this week. I only knew about it last Thurs and took it up then. So this week is kinda busy doing the new process flow, hosting meetings to run through with my team members, so on and so forth. Busy but feeling great nonetheless! My team members are excellent and I could feel our synergy getting on. =)

*my mind is suddenly blank. maybe I'm too shagged. don noe what to write*
Erm... Ok, feeling blissed with my life right now. This feeling evoked as I see my dog licking his paws on his beloved sofa aka bed and my hubby sleeping tightly as well right now. It just makes me happy. Erm... and me doing this post at my desk which I liked alot (although I wished my desk is neater.) Suddenly I just feel God is good to me! (at this moment perhaps? haha) feeling very contented right now.

I will stop here for now before I blabber on any further and bore you guys!
But it's really good to sit down and count our blessings each day, doesn't it? Do not ever take things for granted. Cherish your loved ones, be it your friends, families, pets with all your heart!

What goes around comes around!

Muackz to all my girl friends, my hubby (oops... about to type hubbies! =P), families, relatives and everyone reading this. Love you All!

Have a great weekend ahead!

Mum's Place on Fire

I dropped hubby off this morning for work and was about to leave for my mum's place when she called me and said that their bathroom was on fire yesterday night! had a shock man.She told me that no water supply. The water pipe in the kitchen had burst too so the water tap was turned off....Luckily, no one was hurt. anyway, I was about to leave for Yishun to visit them.

My dad got the plumber to fix things. It was about 4plus when everything was settled. gosh! Finally! I whacked 3BIG 2 SMALL on my unit # but alas, didn't open lei. keke... There have been alot of fire incidents these days in SG. Even today while driving hubby home after his work, we saw a few fire engines rushing to save fires somewhere. I really hope that this fire episode would end soon. The 1st incident of the brother and sister who had perished in the fire is devastating enough. PLS STOP!

I enjoyed myself at home today. Read Sunday Times till I slept. for about half an hour or so. can't remember. then I went to eat my favourite "mee hoon kuay" with my dad. yummy! I ordered a large bowl! slurpy... chatted with him as we ate. told him that it's difficult to have a meal with him. hee... cos his job is on "hi-key" these days with the IRs coming up. Construction industry is in the BOOM man.

Came home and chatted with my bro and his gf. sang abit of karaoke. chat with my mum. I like this where I get to engage my family members.

*Hooked on Steamboat*

halloz! long time didn't have time to sit down to blog. =P

Back from my steamboat bbq steamboat with hubby. Usually when I go for Gelare waffle at ECP, I will get a whiff of the bbq food at the "Hooked on Steamboat" and last week, I told hubby we must go try the bbq today!

Finally here we were today. The food spread isn't very varied but at least I see the item quality were not bad. The prawns are medium size. Sliced sotong, chicken. We cooked seafood koka noodles to load abit of carbo. then it's bbq chicken, fish, prawns and sotong! 3 scoops of ice-cream for our desserts. I prefer this to those bbq steamboat buffet at Marina Bay. Think this will be the spot for my steamboat bbq craving in future. hehe...

Very relaxing there as well... =)

Sometimes I think women just like to spend money. haha... I don't have the "buying clothes" desire recently. But yesterday, when I saw the lingerie at Blush having great sales. Aww.... couldn't resist it and bought a camisole and nightgown total at $28. Original price: $110. That's 75% off! Anyway, I didn't do the maths then, I just knew it was a good buy. And it was something I wanted to get too but couldn't find something I like. There's just too many things that a woman can spend on. Manicure, pedicure, spa, shoes, bags, lingerie, accessories, facials, books, cds, toiletries, haircut... the list is endless. haha...

Update update....

Been wanted to update bloggie for some time but too lazy. keke...

Just received a call from my colleague in China where our project is starting to run. Gosh! Supplier A sent in an old revision part. and SupplierA 2 other parts were still left in SG! Oh my god! Shit... think this build is going to be delayed. haiz... this is the 1st time such things happened. Parts come in a day or two late. but wrong parts and parts missing from shipment. tsk! Anyway, nothing I can do also. I pity my colleagues in Suzhou who are unable to proceed with the build now. =(

Hmm... it's long weekend these days. trying to rest as much as possible. but somehow can't seem to nap in the afternoon. buzzling mind... And Minah went back to Indonesia so must try to help out around. But this time round not as bad as last round. At least my brother-in-law's maid will come and help in the afternoon. Thank god! Appreciate having a maid at home.

Bought 3 books at one shot 2 Fridays ago. Cos it's 3 for the price of 2 (selected titles).

HEN's Nite @ Zouk for Bride-to-Be Kelly

Kelly who is my jc cum uni-mate is going to get married on 8-Oct! I'm gonna be one of the jiemeis and last night was her Hen's night @ Zouk. My 1st time to see the other jiemeis other than Dawn(also our jc cum uni-mate).

Haven't chiong for like 5 years or so. felt lost when I first reached Zouk. haha.... actually I lost my way around the area too. =P

We played games and what the losers gotta do was to drink! Found one drink that I like => Apple Shooter! taste like apple juice... I didn't drink much thou. mostly due to my subconscious telling me better don't drink too much cos gotta drive home. And also because luck was on my side. I didn't lose a single game. woa haha...

The fun part came when the sistas came prepared with a card with 10 items that Kelly had to "accomplish". Punishment? What else but Drink^ So some items on the list ranged from easiest: Get 3 lighters to er.... Doing a hot dance with a guy (on the platform). She accomplished all in record timing except for one... But this one, bo pian arh. the challenge is to get a peck on the cheek from a guy. We swooned the whole Zouk to find a handsome one for her. Tsk! Not a single one. but we spotted one not-bad ang-moh but Kelly rather down a drink. haha....

Actually that's a group of guys having their Bachelor's night as well. Let's say there was some form of interaction between the 2 groups. from downing lamborginis, apple shooters, tequila neat & Kelly getting them to accomplish her task. So some of the tasks Kelly just had to find them, blink and flutter her eyelids at them and da-da, task accomplished!~ Some good clean fun...

Noticed that Zouk wasn't really very crowded yesteday. It seemed smaller to me, maybe my memory was too faded. hehe... down a bottle of evian before driving home yesterday.

Came home and somehow couldn't open my bedroom door. gotta call honey up to open the bloody door. he said it's not locked but I couldn't open. whatever! washed up and we chatted abit. He was worried if I'm hungry and if I needed supper. guess what... we went for prata at 3 plus AM in the morning. felt like we were back to our dating days. super late supper. ;)

Back to bed at 4am for sleep cos gotta drive him to work in the morning at 9am.

p/s: Will upload the pics when I rec'd it. =)

**1st Wedding Anniversary**

Pardon me.. U'll see pics first followed by my post. using the laptop without a mouse, hard to drag the pics....

Us having our dinner at Cafe Brio....
Hubby prepared this caesear salad himself with lotsa prawn. Can't see the veggies yah?
My self-shot. trying to capture the hotel behind us. it's difficult though.
My Bewildered Look! after the show...
arh.... finally a proper shot! after the movies heading for dinner.....
Took leave on Mon (24-Sep) to spend time with hubby and celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary. Coming to think of it, it's been around 2 weeks since we both spent an entire day togetther. kinda miss it. with his new career, weekends are usually time spent sans hubby. not that I'm complaining. i know it's work. just cherish time spent together especially on Mon.

Woke up, laze around and both of us started brainstorming what to do... i suggested watching "No Reservations". Always wanted to catch this movie together with him. We decided to go Waterfront Copthorne for buffet dinner. Alas, Great World didn't have this show. Also we only decided to catch movie at 3pm. In the end, we watched "I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry". There's alot of gayish content. Pretty hilarious... at times touching too. Recommended!

Although it's just a movie and dinner thingy, might just be what other couples are doing weekly. But still feel sweet nonetheless... He prepared a "caesear salad" for me at the buffet. I made a huge card for him... presented it to him 2 weeks ago. couldn't contain the excitement after making it. duh! haha.... *it encompasses some encouragement for him so i just presented it to him when he switched his job.* ;)

Anyway, it's the daily little efforts that count... things that are simple yet shows that he cares. =)

Rainy Sunday Morning

It's raining out there. finally a cool morning! The wind is pretty strong but i'm not going to close the windows. Smelling the wetness of the rain and feeling the cool breeze.

Waken up by call in the morning... so was out of bed by 7plus... argh!

At one point in time, I was looking for my dog cos it ain't in its favourite spot. when I saw him, it just made me laugh. He really can sleep anywhere.

Xiaobai is lying between the wardrobe and my dresser. A close-up below...

Hubby has been working yesterday and today. I stayed at home to do some housekeeping and stuff like that. very guai... haha...

I will be going to my mum's place later in the afternoon to give her mooncake and tonight we are most probably going to my cousin place for BBQ!

Just saw some pics that I took my nieces in my camera so here you go....

I carried Natalie ( the small one) to my room and then together they took the pic! Do they look alike?

Asked Tiffany if she wanna take a shot with me and she quickly replied YES! Guess what I proposed? Come, let's lie down on the bed together and take pic. Cos I had to do it DIY and decided on this new pose. Haha... Nice??? Too bad we got many barangs above our head. =P

My Goal today is to archive my photos properly....

If got time, to archive my MP3 as well.
