Carol's Theory :"How to determine a country's pace of life"

Today, I strolled home. Not exactly walked home or what. Just that I took my own sweet time walking. Had dinner at Seah Imm Food Center again. Had my 2nd bowl of fish soup for the day. Walked to the harbourfront mrt. Realised people were rushing around me. I really felt like I was in my own world. Suddenly had a thought. To see the country's pace of life, you just need to see how fast the people walked. To me, Singapore is a very fast-paced city. It seems like everywhere you go, people are always rushing, dashing, etc. Maybe there are a few like me today. I just felt tired and need to relax by walking slowly. The day is over so why bother rushing. Have rushed enough during the day already. Should just slow down and "smell the roses".

But on the other hand, it could be that people are rushing to meet their loved ones. It's great to be back with your family or friends after work. To catch up on the day.

To come back to my own theory, "How fast the people walks in the country shows the pace of life there". I believe if you go to neighbouring countries like Thailand, Philippines or Malaysia, you will realise that it's more relaxed over there cos everything moves at a slower pace.

I believe most of us belongs to the "fast-paced" type most of the times. Unless you are one of the rare one. If you are, pls let me know. ;P
