14.mar.2008
Finally have the time to sit down and type out what happened 3 weeks ago. It seemed like it happened long time ago...
My parents' place in Yishun caught fire in the wee hours of 14-March. My parents, brother and his gf were actually sent into SGH burn unit ICU. Thankfully the firemen came in time to rescue. Gosh! I broke down when I heard it. Seeing them in the ICU unit with tubes down their throat and everything. They couldn't move, need to lie in bed. need to be sedated else they would pull out the tubes from their throat. their hands need to be tied to the bed rails to prevent them pulling out tubes. it must have hurt. tubes in the throat. milk tubes up their nostrils. they can't talk. it was like this for 4~5 days, i think before the tubes were out of their throats. Trips to the hospital wore me down. almost fell sick after the 4th day. but luckily, my body antibiotics managed to overcome it.
This is a scary experience... when i recall the 1st day i visit them, what my mum wrote on a piece of paper to me (cos she cannot talk). nah, i don wanna write it here.
My dad who seemed the worst initially recovered the fastest. He's really the Hero. 1st to recover in my family. My mum took a longer time.
Hubby's support was important then. Thank god he's there with me when i got the news. that 2 weeks were tiring. lotsa of things to think about, people to handle, tons of people to talk to like relatives, etc. most of them are pretty understanding. me and my sister were super busy. we were like the information counter to update our relatives on our parents' conditions, etc.
So the house needs to be renovated again and my parents are staying in a temporary flat in amk. i hope that there won't be such an incident again. This is not the 1st time but I really hope it's the last....
I can't say anything else but God Bless!

Hunger PangZzzz!
I have been trying to blog for the past weekend on what has happened recently. But somehow I still am too lazy to do it and was busy during the weekends as well. Erm, let’s hope I have the time and energy and mood to do it soon!
For now, I’m feeling excited about a lot of things. Mainly Labour (the process)…. Breastfeeding (whether I can do total bf for the 1st 6 months)…. I told hubby 2 days ago,” I will need your support very much. It is very important to me.” And with him reassuring me with his support, I feel happy and sweet inside. These days, hubby is able to feel the little one kicking inside and I can see the happy Daddy now automatically put his hand on my tummy to feel for himself once in a while. No need me to instruct. Haha… Yesterday, I could see on my tummy the movement of his limb(sorry, don’t know it’s hand or leg.) protruding out. Find it super cool and amazing!
That’s All for nOw! :-)

Woke up by the little one's kicking!
One interesting thing is that on my gynae visit on Monday, I asked him why the baby only kicked me towards the right side of my tummy. none on the left side. His reply was that this is normal. their positioning is like this. and woman who are going into labour usually hold their right side when they admit to hospital. Then today the baby started to kick me on the left side! Did he hear my "concern"? And wanted to show me that he's fine? haha...
I could start to feel him stretching today. Feel amazing and it's real cool.
I'm starting my last trimester liao. Time really flies yah. I will treasure the pregnancy period!
Back to work.

Baby Fair Purchases!

Monday, March 03, 2008
24 weeks and counting....
Alot of things to think about... like what to prepare. I am not sure what are the MUST-Buy items too. Clueless! Mavis told me Takashimaya baby section have a checklist. I should go and grab a copy. I also saw a website http://www.baybsupplies.net/shoplist.htm that is pretty good. telling u what to prepare for your new-born and what to pack for your admission to hospital. Jenny also gave me a "What to Pack for birth" handy list. I appreciate all the tips!
I was just calculating over the weekend how much spent on maternity clothing till now. $500++. erm... quite alot but I can say I have bought enough liao. NO MORE BUYING! My buying spree at Spring Maternity was the most shiok! woahaha...
ok, feeling cranky again.
P/s: Looking forward to my gynae visit on 17-Mar. see ya baby then! =)
