Drinking at Villa Bali @ Gillman

All of us were in a joyous mood. Kiam Pang & Patrick thinking what to order. We settled for Happy Hour 1-for-1 Tiger Beer.

Tat's only Michelle and Me cos Serene is camera-shy.

Tda! This is our Small Boss Swee Hwee. THanks for his treat on the drinks!

Had a hang-out session yesterday with colleagues @ Villa Bali. That place is cosy and relaxing. Didn't know that there is such a nice place in an ulu environment. Will bring my Beau to go there when we are free. You should go and try it out to de-stress.

Lunch at Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant!

It's a first for the many of us guys. Lunch at the Revolving Restaurant at Prima Tower. It is actually a farewell lunch for Serene. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, chatting and laughing. Tomorrow some of us will be going out after work to relax at Gillman Center. Probably chat and have a couple of drinks. I'm sure it's gonna be a great night!

1st Working Day of 2006!

After being away from work for.. let's see...12 days, I can't exactly remember where my work stopped at. Took 1.5hrs to read through 44 emails and get my engines on after that. Felt better after sorting through the things that needs to be done. Hate the feeling of being lost.

Read an article in Female mag titled "How to enjoy your work" or something like that while waiting in a clinic today. Yah right, just what i needed today! Just wondering if anybody does truly enjoys their work and going to work each day? Beau once told me,"Nobody enjoys working." Is it true? But somehow, work do gives us a sense of purpose. It makes us feel important in our own role, be it how small or great. We have to carry out the daily job routines, to solve the job's new challenges, to stand firm at times, to negotiate, to deliver our ideas across and most importantly to IMPROVE. It is the word that drives people to higher levels and excel.

My most vivid memory of that article is that we should not let work consume entirely of our time. They are just an aspect of our life which fulfills us. There are others like family, sports, hobbies, friends which are equally important, if not more important. It's a matter of priority. What's yours? Feel free to share ur tots in my comments.

For me, after spending much OT time in my 1st and 2nd job, realised that the time spent with my HB or myself in the evening is much more important than that. The money is not that great anyway. Hence, my priority shifted towards jobs which are more family oriented and result-oriented. As long as the work is done, I go home.

On of our team-mate, Serene, whose last day is this Friday bought a Secret Recipes' Chocolate cheesecake for our tea-break. It was yummy but sinful! The tea-break made me felt better. Our team discussed the various experiences of our trips during the shutdown to Hk, BKK, KL, Genting, etc. So in a way, it's like we are slowly transitioning from holiday mood to working mode. Of course, the sad thing is that Serene is leaving. But I really wish her all the best and hope that her next job will be fulfilling.

actually, i'm in a sleepy mode while typing this. hope it still sounds logical cos I'm going to doze off soon! Zzzzz.

Recovering from the BKK trip

I didn't make it to work today. Woke up and got ready. But felt too tired and ask HB to drive back instead as I felt totally exhausted. Have been shopping non-stop for the past few days. I realised shopping trip really drains you out!Plus the fact that I don't really like taking plane. Still feeling quite goggy. but nevertheless, gonna post some of my BKK photos! Enjoy!

Sawatdee Ka - I am back in SIN!

I am back(together with my HB, MIL and 2nd BIL). Right back in my home safely. Home Sweet Home. It's been days of non-stop shopping, eating and also adventures here and there. Almost could not get on today's flight due to some cock-up by the agency. Fortunately, there were still seats left and we came back on Business Class! OMG! The feelings on Biz Class is great! keke... Blessings in disguise.

Past few days, we walked and explored alot of places which I didn't thought we would manage to cover. We went to Siam Paragon, MBK, Siam Square, Central World Plaza, Pratunam, Chinatown, not forgetting we had a half-day city tour too! It was fun but tiring though. had to pity my Beau for helping me to carry my "shou huo" back!

Need to unpack and get ready for work tomorrow. Will update pics asap! And also my thoughts on travelling together with MIL. How do you think it goes? Hmm... I need to gather all my scattered tots before putting it down in words. Till then.

Cheers!
