Singtel: The largest telco company in SG. Good service? Improvement pls...

Pls check your Singtel bills before you make your payment. I really cannot stand their service and website!

1st encounter: We signed up for their broadband and got the wireless modem for $88. But when we received the 1st bill, we were charged $131 for this modem. Had to call them up to enquire why the higher charges. Pls note: Their customer service(CS) operators work from 8am to 6pm on Mon-Sat. Sunday- Nilch... I always do all my bill checking, etc on Sunday so always felt frustrated whenever I want to enquire on Sunday for Singtel bills. I don't face this with other companies. Even Stanchart Bank has operators on Sunday!

When I managed to get through, the CS said Singtel has never offered wireless modem at $88. meaning: at such a low price. I asked,"Do you need me to scan and email you the brochure of the offer?" "Oh, I will check with our sales department," the CS replied. I wanted to faint. And she got back... 2 weeks later. Of course, I didn't pay till I got the reply. What comes? A red letter stating my outstanding payment. She mentioned the excess will be offset in the following month. Come Oct bill, I don't see the excess being credited back to my account. I had to make a call again to enquire if this had been missed out.

Gotta explain the whole story again. "Oh, the excess wasn't in time to capture under Oct bill. So it will be credited back in Nov bill. I don't understand why it took the CS 2 weeks to get back. I shall wait and see if it will be offset in my Nov bill.

I was being charged Oct and Nov => 2 months subscription fees in a single bill for my Yishun place broadband. Wanted to call and enquire. But the super-duper hotline 1688 is simply impossible to get through. I went to their website wanting to get their email address. just a simple email address where I can make my inquiry since the phoneline isn't working out. You will encounter this link http://home.singtel.com/customer_service/cust_serv_emailus.asp
There is no email address provided. You actually need to fill up the below stuff to send in your enquiry. They need 5 working days to respond! I don't know if I'm really impatient or what. But I find it abit too much. 5 working days to respond?

My suggestion to Singtel is to have customer services operators (for us to call in) available on Sunday too. For such a big organisation, I cannot fathom why aren't they doing that.

I wonder do you face any problem with them?
