Botak Jayden!

Looking at my photographer aka mummy.... She always like to take my pics! When u see these grainy pics, it means the room is pretty dark.
I surrender... Time-Out! Zzzzz.... poor mummy & daddy have to entertain me when I'm awake.

Back from shaving my hair on 14-July. My actual full month day! Mummy heartache to see my hair gone. haha... Btw, I'm a good boy... slept from journey to hair saloon, during the hair-cut and then till back home... i was still sleeping. hiak hiak...

Back from my way home from Tampines Mall yesterday. Went to PD for Hep B injection then went shopping with Mummy, Daddy and Grandma. It's my 1st trip out shopping! I slept mostly and wake up for milk only. Pic taken in the car ride home. "Hey, I'm not ready yet. my eyes so small....another shot plssss.""Hmm, this one looks better. But I'm still tired man after accompanying u go shopping."I managed to buy alot of things yesterday.

This is what I do most of the time! Sleep, sleep and sleep! besides crying for milk and diaper change. =)

Thoughts after Popping....(It's been 23 days now)

Sometimes I just look at my baby darling Jayden and then think in amazement,"Gosh! I'm a mummy & this is my son."

Just taken a look at him while he's still sleeping. His round round face and him being swaddled up just makes me feels the fulfillment of being a mother.

No doubt it's tiring to take care of him especially night time. But when I see him looking at me with his big round eyes or smiling at me, it seems all worth it! Never mind the endless feedings and changing of diapers...haha... Jayden is a big eater! My gosh! Tot it's not normal but the maid has assured me it's like tat. =)

And I realised why parents are always protective of their children or rather worried about them. It comes naturally.

The good news is my confinement ends this Sunday! Yippee!!! Finally can go out, can bath anytime I want, can eat "normal things". Looking forward to the full month celebrationz...

Jayden's Birth Story

Realised I've not mentioned my birth story in bloggie yet. Better do so as a memoir before I forget.

14-June:
11pm-Admit to Mt Alvernia (after gg for a heavy supper)
- Nurse insert prostin so that cervix will ripen and dilate before doc can start inducing. Spent one night there in labour ward. Nurse told me my gynae will come see me tml morning. Dud... that is like 12 hrs later?

Btw, Allan bought nachos to snack on in the delivery ward. CHAMPION right? machiam we go watch movie... and he really open n eat!

*It's really cold. So accompanying hubbies, pls wear long jeans/pants and bring sweater along! Allan wore bermudas so he was kinda freezing....

15-June:-
9am: Gynae still haven't come.... feel hungry. request breakfast... since haven't start induce. The fish porridge sucks!!! but i ate the red bean paste bread we brought.
10am: Started to get impatient... so long gynae still haven't come.
10+ am: Nurse came to check. 1cm dilated! But i don feel anything yet.
11am: Gynae turned up! Said I dilate liao, will burst waterbag and put on oxytocin drip. I read b4 bursting waterbag very painful so braced myself for it. It's abit more painful than VE but still can tahan... Reeeeelaxxxx.... just feel warm water flowing out. I must say the nurse assisting Dr Koh during this is very good. START TO FEEL CONTRACTIONS AFTER THIS! Like menstrual cramps.... Dr Koh said,"Should deliver bb around 9PM!!!"
2pm: Contractions getting more n more painful. Used breathing techniques... The nurse will ask if u need the laughing gas. Tot no harm trying. OMG, I used a few times only, feel I will fall asleep liao. SUPER HIGH! Gong Gong like tat. Decided this is not the way I want to deliver my baby. Think deliver liao also don noe.... haha.... Told hubby will opt for Epidural cos don't think i can tahan another 7 hrs...
2.30pm: Told nurse I want EPI can? She checked and I'm 4~5 cm dilated. me happy...felt that this is the best dilation to go for Epi. Asked the dr to come... must wait one ok.

Meanwhile, bb's heartbeat dropped with each contraction. Made us worried like dunno wat. And u see the nurses there very kan chiong... kept updating my gynae but he's delivering at TMC then.

3pm: The anaesthetic (Epi dr) came. It took like 15mins to administer it. And took some time for the effect. Meanwhile, can still feel the peak of the contractions.
3.45pm: Told nurse I can feel something... feel like pushing. Nurse checked and I'm about 9cm dilated liao! Called for gynae to come. Meanwhile, stopped the drip to reduce distress on bb. Give me oxygen mask to breathe to see if will help. but bb still in distress.

4pm: 10cm dilated! (Luckily... if not have to go for emergency C-sect liao). Gynae arrived! What a relief to see him! He springed into action. 1st was to use vaccum to bring bb out. Tried but cannot. Then he whipped out the forceps from dunno where.
4.22pm: Jayden was delivered to this world with his loud wails! What a relief!

Hallio! I am awake now! Can see my sexy shoulder? Woahaha... all the clothings look very big on newborn....
Zzzzz... think it's me putting him to sleep....

I've forgotten what is he looking at liao... haha.... One of those few moments where he's not crying for milk or sleeping... Most of the time, they are in a drowsy state....
